Sagas — serialised drama, one episode at a time
A Saga is a story told across short, ordered episodes, shot vertically for the phone. Episode 2 follows episode 1, and the player moves you along as you watch.
Free opening episodes
Every Saga opens with a free run of episodes. The Studio enforces the current platform minimum; the default configuration requires at least three. Producers may offer more free episodes or make the entire Saga free. Check the access label on the Saga because a time-based access window may also apply.
Optional paid access
After the free opening, a producer may set a price for later episodes or a pass. The player shows the price before you choose to unlock an episode or buy a pass. Prices are set within the options available in Tubaar.
An episode you unlock remains available to you, and watching it again does not charge you a second time.
Why a Saga isn't all over Pulse
Sagas are kept out of the main Pulse experience. A producer chooses one episode to act as a trailer, which is what you may come across while scrolling Pulse.
New episodes
On a Saga's page you can turn on Notify me and Tubaar will tell you when the next episode is out. The page also shows when it is due.
Languages and subtitles
A Saga can offer up to 12 languages, as dubbed audio and as subtitles: English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Swahili, Arabic, Chinese, German, Italian, Lingala, Romanian and Hindi. You only see the languages that are ready for that Saga, not every language on every title. The original video is the default.
In the player you choose the audio language, the subtitles (or Off) and the video quality separately, and your place is kept when you switch. The rules for age, release, order, free opening episodes and purchases are the same in every language: a dub never charges you again and never counts as another episode. Titles can be translated; the original text stays authoritative.
AI-generated footage
If a Saga uses AI-generated footage, the producer can disclose it in the Studio; the label is shown on the Saga page.
