The currency inside Tubaar, the difference between purchased and earned Baars, and what each can do.
Baar — what it is and how it works
Baars are Tubaar's in-app currency. You can spend them on gifts, one-time Support, paid Saga episodes or passes, and eligible paid live entry. A Circle is funded through a member's paid plan, not by spending Baars. Creators may earn eligible Baars from some of these activities; no view or action guarantees income.
Twenty-five Baars have a face value of one US dollar. Each purchase or spending screen shows the Baar amount before you confirm.
Purchased Baars and earned Baars
Your wallet keeps them separate.
- Purchased — Baars you bought. They can be spent but cannot be cashed out.
- Earned — Baars sent by other people or credited by Tubaar. Eligible earned Baars can be spent and are the only Baars that can be requested for cash-out.
When you spend, Tubaar uses purchased Baars first, then available earned Baars if needed. Spending earned Baars reduces the amount available for cash-out.
Baars reserved for cash-out
On hold means earned Baars reserved for a cash-out request. They are already excluded from your spendable balance and cannot be spent or requested again while the request is open. Waiting and approved requests keep them reserved. If cancelled or rejected, they return to your available earned balance; if paid, they are used for that payout.
For example, 15,000 earned Baars with a 10,000-Baar request leaves 5,000 earned available and 10,000 on hold. See Cashing out for the current minimum and request statuses.
What you can spend Baars on
- Gifts on an eligible video or live, for the creator or a guest on stage.
- One-time Support for an eligible creator who has enabled it. It does not renew; current minimums and limits are in Earning on Tubaar.
- Saga episodes or passes after the free opening. The Studio currently requires at least three free opening episodes in its default configuration; producers may make more or all episodes free.
- Paid live entry, when a host sets a price. You are charged when you first join; if the live ends within 10 minutes of live time after that, you are refunded in full. See Paid lives.
Circle membership uses a paid plan and does not deduct Baars. See Creator Circles.
Where to see your balance
Open your wallet — Me → Baar in the app, or the wallet page on the web. It shows your spendable total, purchased and earned amounts, and each movement with its reason.
