Nearby and location

Nearby is the Pulse filter for what's happening around you — local creators, local humour, local music, local events.

What it uses

Nearby needs your location while you're using the app. With it, the filter ranks videos by how close they were posted to you, nearest first. Without your location, Nearby can't rank by distance.

What others see

If you choose to share location on a video, viewers see a city or area — never a street, a pin, or a distance to you. You decide per video at publish time, and you can turn the default off in Settings → Visibility.

Tubaar never shows your exact location to anyone.

Hiding the city on a video only hides the label, and you can change that afterwards. The video's location stays stored with it, and Tubaar still uses it for Nearby and for audience limits such as same city or within 50 km. The location itself can't be changed after publishing.

Worldwide still counts

Nearby is one filter, not a wall. For You keeps surfacing global content, and worldwide Scenes connect you to everyone who cares about the same thing wherever they are.
